In the background of the fourth technological revolution,disruptive innovation is of great significance for our country's backward enterprises to seize the opportunity and complete the "curve transcendence".Dynamic capabilities play the key role in companies' adapting to the profoundly changing external environment,and the introduction of dynamic capabilities provides clues for finding the realization path of disruptive innovation.This paper adopts the case study method,selects BYD Co.,Ltd.as object,and adopts the method of triangulation to analyze and identify a great deal of data collected,thereby ensuring the objectivity of the data and the reliability of the research conclusions.This paper studies the stage characteristics of dynamic capabilities and its role in the process of disruptive innovation,describes the path of disruptive innovation from the perspective of dynamic capabilities,and evaluates its effects.According to the research results: disruptive innovation is a long-term development process,going through three stages of market entry,market deepening,and market upgrading.In the stage of market entry,sensing ability plays a major role,and at the same time,seizing ability is used.Firms use innovation model of technology imitation,build product-based business models,and achieve the goal of low-end market invasion.In the stage of market deepening,seizing ability plays a major role,and at the same time,it applies sensing ability and transforming ability.Firms enter the mid-to-high-end market by adopting an innovative model of technology integration to build an industrial business model.In the stage of market upgrading,transforming ability plays a major role,and at the same time,sensing ability and seizing ability are used.By adopting the innovation model of original technology,firms build an ecological business model and completes the whole market layout.With the help of innovation performance,this study well evaluates the role of dynamic capabilities at each stage and the effect of disruptive innovation.On this basis,this study depicts the theoretical framework of disruptive innovation paths from the perspective of dynamic capabilities.While providing theoretical contributions,it also provides theoretical and practical suggestions for Chinese backward firms to implement disruptive innovation and achieve "curve transcendence".
