Nowadays,our country has entered an aging society,and it has become an important topic to pay attention to the well-being of middle-aged and elderly people.In view of the aging society,the state has put forward a new policy of gradual delayed retirement,It is of great significance for the implementation and adjustment of the new policy to study the impact of the current retirement policy on the well-being of the elderly.The elderly retirees in a country are a special group,improving their subjective well-being will have a profound impact on the culture,society,economy and other aspects of a country.This paper uses the latest data to study the impact of retirement on subjective well-being,measures the degree of subjective well-being through life satisfaction,innovatively uses the nature of the unit to screen the samples,and retains the sam-ples constrained by the retirement policy,objective to study the specific influence mechanism of retirement,marital status,health status,educational level,nature of the unit,total social frequency and the number of visits and exchanges of children on subjective well-being.Firstly,through descriptive statistical analysis,it is found that the overall life satisfaction of men is higher than that of women,the most popu-lar social activities are to communicate with friends,play mahjong,play chess,play cards or go to movies and participate in community clubs.Secondly,the breakpoints are determined by the scatter chart of age and life satisfaction.Finally,the signifi-cant impact and mechanism are explored by using the fuzzy regression discontinuity method,the subjects are classified and discussed by gender,and heterogeneity anal-ysis is added in the subsequent exploration of impact mechanism to improve the accuracy of the influence mechanism,the final conclusion:retirement has no signif-icant effect on women's life satisfaction,which increases the life satisfaction of men who have not received education,except for men who have not received education,other men's retirement has no significant effect on life satisfaction.Health status,marital status and the number of visits and exchanges of children have significant effects on subjective well-being of different groups,the specific influence mechanism is that the better the health condition is,the higher the life satisfaction is;the life satisfaction of the workers with spouse is higher than that of the workers without spouse;the more times their children visit and communicate,the higher the life satisfaction of other women except the female workers in administrative institutions and enterprises.In conclusion,China needs to pay attention to the welfare adjustment of workers in different units,strengthen the support for entertainment activities of middle-aged and elderly people,establish and improve the medical security and social security system for middle-aged and elderly people,pay attention to the material and spir-itual needs of middle-aged and elderly people and retirees,and comprehensively improve the subjective well-being of middle-aged and elderly people,the implemen-tation effect of the new policy of gradual delayed retirement will be greatly improved,and China's aging society will also show a positive state.
