Research objective: To compare the effects of velocity-based training(VBT)and percentage strength training(PBT)on upper and lower limb maximum strength and explosive power of male wrestling and judo college students.Research methods: Using the research methods of literature,experiment and mathematical statistics,we assigned 24 subjects randomly to the experimental group(VBT,N = 12)and the control group(PBT,N = 12)for 8 weeks of resistance training intervention,twice a week.In the experimental group,Gym Aware power real-time feedback system was used for velocity-based Training(VBT),and the individual load-velocity profile(LVP)corresponding to 75% 1RM was used for strength training monitoring.When the average centripetal velocity deviation of each group was ±0.06m/s,the load of ± 5% was adjusted in time;The control group adopted percentage-based training(PBT)and strength training with 75% 1RM constant load intensity and amount.Research results:1.After the experiment,the 1RM indexes of bench press and squat reflecting the maximum strength were significantly improved in the experimental group and the control group(P < 0.01);The deep squatting 1RM in the experimental group was better than that in the control group(P < 0.05),and there was no significant difference in bench press 1RM(P > 0.05).2.After the experiment,the indexes of squat jump,CMJ and swing arm CMJ reflecting the explosive force of lower limbs in the experimental group and the control group increased significantly(P < 0.01);There was no significant difference in squat jump between the groups(P > 0.05).The CMJ and swing arm CMJ in the experimental group were better than those in the control group(P < 0.05).3.After the experiment,the explosive pushing indexes of different weights(4kg and 6kg)reflecting the explosive force of the upper limb were significantly improved in the experimental group(P < 0.05),especially in the average speed and pushing distance(P < 0.01);In the control group,the pushing distance increased significantly(P < 0.05),with no significant increase in the average speed and power(P > 0.05);The average power,speed,push distance and average speed of 4kg explosive push in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the control group(P <0.05),and there was no significant difference in other indexes(P > 0.05).4.After the experiment,the action power index of shoulder throw(one-arm shoulder throw)reflecting the explosive power of judo and wrestling increased significantly in the experimental group and the control group(P < 0.01),and the improvement effect of the experimental group was more significant than that of the control group(P < 0.01).Research conclusions:1.After 8 weeks of strength training,compared with PBT,VBT can improve the maximum strength,the explosive power of upper and lower limbs and the explosive power of special technical actions more obviously,which can more effectively improve the sports performance and achieve the effect of special explosive power transfer.2.Compared with PBT,VBT can more effectively improve the explosive level,provide accurate press for athletes’ personalized training and objective and real-time quantitative monitoring and feedback.
