The junior high school stage is a key stage of life development.However,due to subjective and objective reasons such as the psychological weaning period and heavy academic pressure,the mental health of junior high school students has been seriously affected,and even the suicidal ideation of this group has been at a high level for a long time.Suicidal ideation plays an important role in predicting suicidal behavior.Once an individual has suicidal ideation,he is likely to take suicidal behavior.Therefore,it is necessary to reduce the level of suicidal ideation.Previous studies have shown that perceived social support and loneliness are both important influencing factors of suicidal ideation.However,we are currently unclear about the status,relationship and mechanism of social support,loneliness and suicidal ideation among junior high school students.Therefore,this study would like to explore this further.In addition,considering the existing learning and living conditions of junior high school students in my country,designing and implementing a mental health education group counseling program that can reduce suicidal ideation is the easiest and most efficient way to reduce suicidal ideation in junior high school students.A set of group counseling program that can reduce suicidal ideation in junior high school students and put it into practice to test its actual effect.To sum up,this study was carried out in a group of junior high school students in Hohhot City,using questionnaires and group counseling,and was divided into two sub-studies.Study 1 explored the status quo,the relationship among the three,and the mechanism of action among junior high school students’ perception of social support,loneliness,and suicidal ideation through a questionnaire survey,and provided a theoretical basis for reducing suicidal ideation in junior high school students from a theoretical perspective.Based on the mental health education curriculum of junior high school students in schools and based on the mechanism of study 1,Study 2 designed a group counseling program for comprehension social support,and further tried to explore how junior high school students can obtain comprehension social support through group counseling to reduce loneliness and suicidal ideation..Through the above research,this paper draws the following conclusions:(1)Loneliness plays a mediating role in the relationship between perceived social support and suicidal ideation.(2)Group counseling can improve junior high school students’ perception of social support and reduce loneliness and suicidal ideation.These findings suggest that perceived social support not only directly affects the level of suicidal ideation,but also affects the level of suicidal ideation through loneliness.That is,loneliness plays an important mediating role in comprehending the relationship between social support and suicidal ideation.In addition,the research shows that the perceived social support group counseling program designed in the second study in this study can effectively improve the level of comprehension social support of junior high school students and achieve the ultimate goal of reducing suicidal ideation in junior high school students.Therefore,schools can rely on mental health education courses to conduct intervention counseling for understanding social support groups to improve junior high school students’ understanding of social support and reduce loneliness and suicidal ideation.
