Suicide,as a worldwide mental health problem,has been paid attention to in the field of mental health.In recent years,the suicide of high school students has attracted extensive attention from all walks of life.High school stage is the critical period for the development of teenagers.In this stage,they have to face a series of problems such as pressure on study,expectation of parents,interpersonal relationship between classmates,etc.,which are easy to lead to mental health related problems of students,and even suicidal ideation,resulting in the occurrence of suicidal behavior.Suicidal ideation is generally regarded as the beginning of suicide,which is an important factor affecting the prediction of suicidal behavior.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to carry out the investigation and research on the suicidal ideation of senior high school students.There are many factors affecting suicidal ideation,parent-child relationship and social affective ability are important factors affecting suicidal ideation.Therefore,this study explored the relationship between parent-child relationship and suicidal ideation in high school students,and further explored the mediating effect of social emotional competence on parent-child relationship and suicidal ideation.In this study,641 high school students from a school in L County,Henan Province were randomly selected as subjects.Parent-child Affiliation Questionnaire,Adolescent Suicide Ideation Scale and Social Affective Competence Questionnaire were used to investigate the subjects.SPSS26.0 was used for descriptive analysis,difference test and correlation analysis,and Process was used to examine the mediating effect of social affective competence on parent-child relationship and suicidal ideation.The results are as follows:(1)The parent-child relationship of high school students is good on the whole,and there are significant differences in gender and whether they are the only child.(2)The suicide ideation of senior high school students is lower,and there is a significant difference in whether they are class leaders.(3)The social emotional competence of senior high school students is good on the whole,and there are significant differences in class cadre and academic performance.(4)Parent-child relationship,suicidal ideation and social affective ability were significantly correlated among high school students.Parent-child relationship was significantly negatively correlated with suicidal ideation,parent-child relationship was significantly positively correlated with social affective ability,and social affective ability was significantly positively correlated with suicidal ideation.(5)Social affective competence played a partial mediating role in parent-child relationship and suicidal ideation.
