Relationship Between Adverse Childhood Experiences And Suicidal Ideation In Children Aged 11-15

All over the world,suicide is a problem that cannot be ignored.According to a survey published by the Beijing Medical Child Development Center,China is the country with the largest child suicide in the world.Children aged 11-15 are in the upper grades of elementary school and junior high school.At this stage,the child’s physical development is very fast,but the psychological development is slow.they are in the early puberty and their hearts are full of contradictions and conflicts,and they are prone to suicidal ideation or behavior.At present,suicide is showing a significant trend of younger age.Further studies have shown that for children aged 11-15,bad childhood experiences are a risk factor for children’s suicidal ideation at this stage.In order to explore the influence of childhood adverse experiences on suicidal ideation,at the same time,we will study comprehension of social support and psychological resilience as intermediary variables to explore the intermediary effect of comprehension of social support and psychological resilience,so as to better understand the occurrence of suicidal ideation.Mechanism to reduce the possibility of suicidal ideation in children aged 11-15.In this study,a cluster stratified random sampling method was used to select two general primary schools(grades 5-6)and two general junior high schools(grades 1-3),a total of 1523 students,using the "International Survey of Adverse Childhood Experiences" table,Suicide Ideation Self-Rating Scale,Perceived Social Support Scale and Adolescent Mental Resilience Scale as research tools for investigation and research.Use Epidata software to input data,and use SPSS25.0 software’s t test,analysis of variance,chi-square test,correlation analysis,regression analysis,mediation effect test and other methods to test the theoretical model.the research results are as follows:(1)the detection rate of adverse childhood experiences was 79.5%;the detection rate of neglect and abuse experience was 66.8%,the detection rate of family dysfunction was 41.3%,the detection rate of peer bullying was 30.2%,and the detection rate of community violence the detection rate was 10.8%,and the detection rate of collective violence was 1.8%.there were significant differences in the detection rate among grades,ages,single-children,father’s culture,perceived family status,parental relationship,family structure and main caregivers.(2)the detection rate of suicidal ideation was 11.9%.there were significant differences in the detection rate of suicide ideation in gender,grade,age,perceived family status,family structure and parental relationship.(3)the overall score of comprehension of social support is 65.73±14.78.the comprehension of other support(teachers,classmates)is the highest,followed by the comprehension of family support,and the lowest comprehension of friend support.the level of comprehension of social support is in gender,grade,and there are significant differences in age,parental relationship,parental culture,perceived family status,family structure and main caregivers.(4)the average value of psychological resilience is 95.24±19.23,and the level of psychological resilience is above average.the average total score of each dimension is ranked as target focus(3.80)> family support(3.61)> positive cognition(3.56))>emotional control(3.41)> interpersonal assistance(3.32).there are differences in whether they are only children,grade,age,parental relationship,father culture,perceived family status,family structure and main caregivers.(5)there is a significant correlation between the variables of childhood adverse experiences,social support,psychological resilience,and suicidal ideation.(6)Adverse childhood experiences can positively predict suicidal ideation;understanding that social support and psychological resilience have negative predictive effects on suicidal ideation.(7)Comprehend that social support is a mediating variable between bad childhood experiences and suicidal ideation,and psychological resilience is a mediating variable between bad childhood experiences and suicidal ideation.Comprehend that social support and psychological resilience play a chain-like intermediary role in childhood adverse experiences and suicidal ideation.
