In 2021,according to the data released by the World Health Organization, the average number of cancer patients in the world reached more than 14 million every year, and more than 8million people died of cancer last year. This data is shocking. The who has clearly put forward that the death factors caused by cancer are in the forefront of the causes of death. In the terminal stage of cancer, terminal cancer patients and their families need social care, physiologically painless treatment, support and encouragement from relatives and deep relief. However,it is difficult to meet many of the above needs only with the "one-man power" of medical staff, patients and family members.Hospice care social work service is the inevitable product of social and cultural development and civilization. It is necessary and meaningful to promote and promote the development of hospice care social work service for patients with advanced cancer. Therefore, social workers meet the needs of patients and families through case services, and provide hospice care for terminal cancer patients from the perspective of social support theory, which is worthy of our exploration and research.Based on what I saw and learned in the internship in s ningyangyuan, the author applies the scientific theory and practice of social workers to firmly grasp the needs of patients and their families in "body, heart, society and spirit",and establish a suitable social support network according to their needs. This paper uses the combination of literature method, unstructured interview method, participatory observation method and case work to conduct practical research.Firstly, through communication and interview with terminal cancer patients and their families,we learned the basic situation of the case owner, analyzed the needs of terminal cancer patients and their families in four aspects: physical pain relief, psychological adjustment, social assistance and spiritual comfort, and determined the goal of this case from the perspective of social support theory,And formulated a work programme. Then,it details the development of the case work, including the intervention of the fear of death of the patient, the intervention of the psychological situation of the patient’s relatives, the intervention of the difficulties faced by the patient’s whole family, the care at the spiritual level, and the achievement of unfinished wishes. In the whole process,it helps the patient link social resources, obtain corresponding social support, and establish a social support network. Then,in the evaluation of the case, the application of social support theory in the hospice care case of terminal cancer patients is clarified, which has effectively achieved the results of "meeting the needs and responding to the needs","reducing the pressure and alleviating the burden","saving resources, harmonizing doctors and patients" and "making up for deficiencies and promoting development".Finally, after reflecting on the case work,we came to four conclusions: "the application of the concept of physical, mental, social and spiritual holistic nursing is an effective means to improve the effect of hospice care for terminal cancer patients","the lack of social support for terminal cancer patients at this stage","the general lack of death education and psychological assistance among Chinese people" and "the grain reserve of medical knowledge of medical nursing workers at this stage is slightly insufficient",In the process of hospice care for terminal cancer patients in Nanjing nursing home, medical social workers put forward four suggestions: "applying social support","improving the reserve of medical knowledge","cultivating the ability of death education and psychological counseling" and "applying the concept of physical, mental and spiritual holistic nursing",and "improving the service system of hospice care social workers" at the social level "Complete the construction of social support system for terminal cancer patients". |
