| According to the global cancer data released by the World Health Organization in2021,China ranks first in the world in terms of cancer deaths in 2020.At present,my country’s end-of-life needs and social response measures cannot be effectively addressed,and the problem of neglected end-of-life care needs of terminal cancer patients is becoming more and more common.Especially for a special group such as terminal cancer patients,providing care services for terminal cancer patients is not only an important manifestation of social development and progress,but also a promising new field and new opportunity for social work.This research adopts field research,uses interview method and participant observation method to collect data,takes patients with terminal cancer in the oncology department of G City People’s Hospital of Guangdong Province as the research object,from the perspective of existentialism,and takes existentialist social work theory as the basic theory Based on the theory of quality of life and Maslow’s needs theory,it focuses on the existence status of terminal cancer patients at the terminal stage,and analyzes and recognizes the real terminal needs of terminal cancer patients.Then use the case-based social work method to carry out the practice,from the understanding of the self-existing situation,actively looking for options and eliminating the sense of limitation,promoting self-awareness and awareness of existence,returning to the freedom of love and stimulating potential,and reshaping the meaning of life situations and other intervention processes,to help patients with terminal cancer to solve end-of-life problems such as anxiety and life value,and summarize and reflect on the specific case social work practice process of social workers providing hospice care services for terminal cancer patients.After analysis and demonstration,from the perspective of existentialism,the hospice care status and quality of life of patients with terminal cancer who were intervened with case-based social work methods were improved.After patients with terminal cancer participate in the case social work,their sense of life meaning,sense of responsibility and willingness to make self-determination are enhanced,they are willing to share their thoughts on death,and there are signs of positive attitude change.The self-worth and self-respect of terminal cancer patients are also improved.accomplish.Therefore,from the perspective of existentialism,the use of case-based social work methods to intervene in hospice care services for terminal cancer patients has a certain positive effect.Taking the hospice care service of a terminal cancer patient as an example,this paper analyzes the theoretical viewpoints and core concepts of existentialism on death,freedom and responsibility,and explores the practice of case service with the pursuit of the meaning of life as the highest goal of hospice care service.During the development of case-based social work services,efforts are made to meet the specific end-of-life needs of terminal cancer patients,improve the quality of life of terminal cancer patients,and continuously promote terminal cancer patients and their families,as well as the general public’s understanding of end-of-life care and the meaning of life,etc.The effective intervention of social work in hospice care provides practical reference,and also strives to contribute to the further development of hospice care in my country. |
