Practice Research On Casework Involving In The Hosoice Care Of Terminal Cancer Patients

People's living standard is on the rise along with the development of the society.As the population is getting aged and the spectrum of diseases is changing,cancer has begun to threaten human beings' health and life.Thus,hospice care of terminal cancer patients is both medically and ethically meaningful.The amount of studies and theses on the hospice care of terminal cancer patients has become larger throughout the years,but most of them are from the perspective of clinical medicine.Though some of researches are involved with social work,they basically study current situation,necessity and development tendency;the amount of social work cases and group practice researches are comparatively small.Through practice research on case work involved in the hospice care of terminal cancer patients,practice social work of terminal cancer patients is summarized and introspected.Writer of the dissertation utilized case social work practice method,set an example of the social work service demonstration project of Cancer patient's Home of the First Subsidiary Hospital.Nanchang University,worked as a volunteer,and cited Social Support Theory and Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.Based on materials collected by visiting terminal cancer patients and their families and the analysis of their needs,the case work was initiated,and the aim of improving patients' living quality was realized.With terminal cancer patient as the research object,writer of the dissertation utilized techniques of social work to help patient to overcome emotional scales,relive physical and psychological pressure caused by disease,understand life correctly,and to positively link patients and social resources to improve patients' ability of dealing with disease,realizing the results of hospice care and response care.Writer of the dissertation carefully recorded the whole process,observed and assessed the results of all phases,found some ignored and unsolved problems,and issued some correcting suggestions to provide experience and references to future similar jobs.Through summarizing and assessing case work of terminal cancer patients,writer of the dissertation has confirmed that case work is positively effective for cancer terminal patients' attitude death and their capacity of emotional self-adjusting,which improves the development of hospice care of cancer terminal patients.It was also found in the research that the spiritual care and social support are in short.After the service,these are needed to fix in time to provide patients with painstaking care before death,and to comfort patients' families to some extent,Accumulate more practical experience as a medical social work hospice services.
