The Inspiration Of Noddins’ Caring Ethics Thought To Family Education

Caring is the basic need of people,everyone needs to care and be cared for.The family is the primary place for people to feel the care,and everyone has gradually grown up in the care of their parents.But in daily life,we often hear children complaining that their parents do not care about them,and we often hear parents complaining that they care for themselves but are not accepted by the children.The reason is the improper care in the family.How to properly care for every parent needs to think about.This article mainly analyzes the caring relationship in the family from the perspective of Noddings’ caring ethics,and on this basis,sorts out Noddings’ thoughts on family education,trying to provide reference for the current family education in our country.Firstly,the thesis explains Noddings’ thoughts of caring ethics.Noddings believes that caring is a kind of relationship between the caregiver and the cared for,which is manifested as equal caring relationship and unequal caring relationship.The establishment of caring relationship needs the joint efforts of both parties.The carer must feel the needs of the cared,and act on the basis of the need to meet the needs of the cared,and the cared must respond to the care of the carer,so that the caring relationship can be established.On the basis of clarifying the caring relationship in the family,this paper elaborates on Noddings’ thoughts on family education.Noddings believes that family education begins with the needs of the child,and parents educate on the basis of the needs of the child who has a need for physical health,development and social acceptance.Education should be based on modeling,dialogue,practice and confirmation of family education methods.Not only that,Noddings also believes that family education alone is not enough.Families must integrate schools and society to educate children,and promote their growth on the basis of family,school,and social integration.Finally,the thesis analyzes the inspiration of Noddings’ family education thoughts to China’s family education.In China’s current family education,parents should shift from devoted parents to growth-oriented parents,from material parents to spiritual parents,from widowed parents to cooperative parents,and from participating in home-school co-parenting activities organized by schools to work together with schools to promote children’s growth.Through the combining and analysis of Noddings’ family education thought,the thesis finally settled on the enlightenment to China’s current family education,hoping that every child can taste happiness in a caring family.
