Research On The Methodological Significance Of Digital Humanities Laboratory To Humanities

In the past ten years,data science has brought a revolutionary impact on the transformation of humanities and social sciences research.This paper chooses the digital humanities laboratory as the entry point,and through empirical analysis,explores what changes the emergence of digital humanities laboratory has brought to humanities and social sciences research.Then it reveals its influence and philosophical significance.This study not only has important theoretical value for the development of humanities from the perspective of philosophical methodology,but also has practical significance for how to make better use of digital humanities laboratory to promote the development and progress of the discipline.This paper firstly investigates and analyzes the historical conditions and development characteristics of the digital humanities laboratory,which provides the space and possibility of joint research for the new paradigm of humanities and social science research.Secondly,six typical projects of four digital humanities laboratories at home and abroad are selected to carry out empirical analysis from research methods,research processes and research effects.Through the research methods of visual analysis and semantic structure analysis under the full sample,the remote reading analysis of the whole sample is realized beyond the close reading of the interpretation of small sample.In Decisive Network,the visual reproduction of the development process is carried out through network analysis and geographical analysis,which goes beyond the isolated and static text interpretation to the dynamic and multi-dimensional space-time analysis.It breaks the limits of cyberspace and creates an immersive experience.Compared with foreign countries,this paper discusses the main work of digital humanities project in China from the perspective of database: 1.Retrieving intelligent data from literature;The second is from digital structuralization to unstructured semantics;Third,relying on the knowledge mapping of existing databases to provide efficient and easy to use new tools for humanities research.Based on the above analysis,this paper explains the methodological change and philosophical significance of the Digital Humanities Lab from three aspects.The first is the transformation of research objects and research methods: Digital Humanities Lab attaches great importance to the construction of unstructured databases,which expands the scope of research objects from correlation and full sample to the new entire quadrant.At the same time,the breakthrough in research methods of data science tools and communication and collaboration methods provides a feasible space for the benign development of digital humanities laboratory.Secondly,the Digital Humanities Lab has brought about complex practice paths such as multi-dimension,knowledge map and augmented reality,but it has also caused the limitations of its research results,such as lack of depth,information fragmentation and reality illusion.Finally,the digital humanities laboratory can understand the world in directness,and data science can make humanism start afresh from tradition.
