In the 21 st century,with the increasing economic strength and increasing international status of China,Chinese has become an important international language.In recent years,thanks to the joint efforts of the Thai government,the Hanban of China,and educational institutions of both countries,Chinese learners in Thailand have been growing and children have been developing rapidly.In Thailand,the demand for Chinese teaching materials is increasing,and the quality of teaching materials is required to constantly improve.At present,the research on the concept of the preparation of Chinese textbooks in Thailand is weak.There are many problems in the children’s Chinese textbooks on the market.The major ones are: First,the use of Chinese teaching materials compiled by the China and the dissemination of Chinese culture are accurate,but the selection of language materials does not meet Thailand’s national conditions.Secondly,although the Chinese textbooks written by the Thai correspond to Thailand’s national conditions in terms of communication topics,the accuracy of language use,the misunderstanding of Chinese culture,and other issues generate the phenomenon of passing wrong information;Third,Chinese-Thai edition although children’s educational materials can take care of Thailand’s national conditions and can more accurately convey Chinese knowledge and culture,there are also deficiencies.For example,Chinese teachers who compile a Chinese team do not have a complete theoretical knowledge system or lack of experience in compiling teaching materials.As a result,the knowledge points of the textbooks are not clearly expressed or exceed、 the language points of children’s cognitive development;The actual situation is inconsistent,too idealized,and it is easy to dampen the enthusiasm of children to learn Chinese.It has caused some chaos and confusion when selecting teaching materials for related teaching institutions.Teachers’ teaching activities are also affected by different degrees.This article studies the Teaching Chinese Textbook for Children(Beginners)in Saraburi,Thailand.It is a typical textbook compiled by Chinese and Thai teachers.Author uses the highly popular Thai children’s textbook Experiencing Chinese(Primary)as a reference object.Using conversations,classroom observations and other research methods,combined with their own experience,this set of textbooks is analyzed from four aspects of textbook structure,topics,vocabulary,and practice.The article will be discussed the practicality and applicability of the textbook from three aspects: the writing of ideas,the arrangement of teaching materials and the actual use of teaching.The following conclusions are drawn: First,the structure of teaching materials is relatively reasonable,but there are also many problems.For example: the lack of exquisite maps,improper allocation of practice questions,etc.Secondly,the way of presenting texts is a relatively ideal state for children to learn Chinese,and the use of scene presets to pave the way for children’s upcoming dialogues.However,the texts are too long and the topics are obsolete,which does not meet the cognitive development and communication needs of children;the teaching material has a moderate number of vocabularies and a high frequency of recurrence.However,the vocabulary has a high degree of difficulty and the vocabulary acquisition method is inappropriate,which affects the acquisition and accumulation of children’s vocabulary.Fourth,there are too many exercises after class and the four assignments of listening,speaking,reading and writing are unreasonable.Drilling methods are mainly mechanical and semi-mechanical.Drilling is tedious,resulting in the practice setting not reaching the desired effect.With regard to the comparison and analysis of children’s educational materials,more and more people have studied in recent years.This article is not new from the choice of topics.The characteristics of this article are: First of all,from the perspective of child psychology and communication,the applicability of textbooks of Teaching Chinese Textbook for Children(Beginners)for children is discussed.Secondly,the analysis of children’s textbooks by predecessors is mostly a comparison between textbooks and textbooks.In this article,only one textbook is used as a reference object,focusing on the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the textbook Teaching Chinese Textbook for Children(Beginners)and insufficient to make corresponding recommendations.Finally,through scientific data and mathematical formulas,it is analyzed whether the writing of Teaching Chinese Textbook for Children(Beginners)is in line with children’s cognition.At the same time,through their own teaching experience to study the problems of the set of teaching materials in the actual class,this set of tests is validated.
