| With the increasing influence of China in the world,Chinese education has also received wide attention from people around the world. In recent years, there have been numerous problems arising from the study and life of international students in China.Although the relevant departments and researchers have adopted appropriate strategies and management measures, they still have not solved the problem at root. The main reason is that we only pay attention to the "two fundamentals" in teaching international students and neglect humanities education, however, such education is not comprehensive. In order to promote the healthy and comprehensive development of international students, this paper conducts an in-depth research on the current situation and needs of moral education of international students in Laos by using a combination of literature, questionnaire and interview methods.Based on the concept of comprehensive development and the concept of hierarchy of needs,80 international students in Laos were taken as the main research subjects, and the moral education status in four aspects, namely, personal morality, family virtue, professional morality and social morality, was statistically analyzed from the perspectives of Chinese schools,Chinese teachers, international students in Laos and their parents. At the same time,in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 Laotian international students and 10 Chinese teachers in order to understand the current situation of moral education of international students more objectively. It was found that most of the 80 international students from Laos to China surveyed and studied in this paper were in a good state of moral education, while some others had shallow moral consciousness, weak moral emotion, weak moral will, and poor moral behavior.Secondly,in terms of moral education needs, students have strong needs for content such as family virtues and professional ethics. But their Chinese schools and teachers do not adequately meet individual needs. The schools’ moral education teaching objectives are not clear, the teachers’ awareness of moral education is not strong, and they do not pay enough attention to the implementation of moral education for international students, neglecting the importance of "educating people".Finally, based on the above research results, this paper puts forward effective and practical suggestions for moral education, which are of great value to the future "moral education" education of international students in China. |
