| At present,China is in a period of social transformation and conflicts,and the phenomenon of "moral indifference" is precisely the reflection and manifestation of changes in this era in the moral field.It can be said that the commonality of these moral phenomena is the lack of moral sensitivity.Moral sensitivity was proposed by the Neo-Kohlbergian School represented by James Rest in the 1980 s,and is considered to be the logical initial psychological component of moral behavior.Understanding and grasping moral sensitivity systematically helps to improve the ability of individuals to identify and explain morality,and at the same time urges them to act more ethically.In general,this study will examine the moral sensitivity of contemporary college students from theoretical and empirical dimensions,further analyze the main problems and their causes,and then seek possible cultivation paths and promotion strategies.First of all,based on a review of moral sensitivity at home and abroad,this article preliminary explores the etymological profile of moral sensitivity,combs the evolution of the concept of moral sensitivity,and discriminates the similarities and differences between moral sensitivity and ethical sensitivity,moral intuition,moral sense.On this basis,this article attempts to define the definition of moral sensitivity and the moral sensitivity of contemporary college students,and analyzes that moral sensitivity has the characteristics of subjectivity,intuition,tendency and hierarchy.In addition,personal morality is an important focus of moral sensitivity research.This article clarifies the rationale for cutting into the moral sensitivity of college students from the perspective of personal morality from the aspects of necessity,value and feasibility.Secondly,this research carried out an empirical investigation on the moral sensitivity of contemporary college students,and compiled the "Contemporary College Students’ Moral Sensitivity Questionnaire(Perspective of Personal Morality)" based on the concept of moral sensitivity,moral orientationand and role involvement as the dimensions and theten personal characters mentioned in "Outline on Boosting Civic Morality in a New Era" as the contents.This investigation studied the current situation of college students’ moral sensitivity and its differences in demographic variables and other factors from the perspective of personal character.This survey shows that the moral sensitivity of college students is at a moderately high level,and there are significant differences in the moral sensitivity of different grades and majors.The analysis results of moral sensitivity and moral education show that moral education in schools can significantly affect the level of moral sensitivity of college students,but the correlation between parental moral education and college students’ moral sensitivity is not significant.Third,according to the results of empirical analysis,it can be concluded that there are major problems in contemporary college students’ moral sensitivity,such as low overall levels,large differences in grades and majors,apparently insufficient empathy,and uneven development of personal moral cognition.It can be found that the problems of college students’ moral sensitivity can be attributed not only to differences in individual development,that is,differences in moral cognition,moral emotion,and moral personality,but also to the bias of family and school moral education,the negative impact of the market economy,the impact of multiculturalism,and the rapid development of the network society.Finally,to cultivate and enhance the moral sensitivity of college students and enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education,we can focus on the following aspects: First,encourage students to carry out self-education,that is,accumulate moral experience,express personal emotions,and internalize moral standards;The second is to strengthen family education,that is,to encourage moral tendencies,to attach importance to emotional experience and ethical practice;the third is to improve school education,that is,to uphold the concept of subjective education,to create connected educational content,and to apply experiential teaching methods;the fourth is to optimize social education,that is,promote the core values of socialism,improve the legal security system,and strengthennetwork moral education. |
