| After entering colleges and universities,college students are faced with a completely different university environment from the past high school life.Freshmen’s ability to adapt to the school has a crucial impact on their future college life and even social life.School adaptation includes interpersonal adaptation to dormitory relationship and community relationship,learning adaptation to develop good learning habits,and adaptation to campus living environment.This study aims to explore the intervention effect of group psychological counseling on Freshmen’s school adaptation,so as to provide a practical and effective group psychological counseling program for improving Freshmen’s school adaptation.This study uses the "College Students’ Adaptability Scale" to measure the school adaptation level of 340 freshmen in a university in Qinghai Province.The results show that the overall school adaptation level of freshmen is above average.There are significant differences in demographic variables such as gender,discipline,place of origin,class cadre,only child and parenting style.In the intervention part,27% of the students in the low score group were selected for paired sampling,and 15 students in the experimental group and 15 students in the control group were selected to ensure the homogeneity of the two groups in school adaptation.The experimental group was intervened by group psychological counseling for 8 weeks,and the unit activity was controlled at 60-90 minutes per week.The control group was not intervened by the system of group auxiliary activities,and normal learning and life.The activity design of the Youth League program is based on the group dynamics theory,interpersonal interaction theory and social learning theory.After the completion of the group auxiliary intervention,the post test of the experimental group and the control group were analyzed and compared.The results showed that there was a significant difference in school adaptation between the experimental group and the control group(P = 0.015).Through the group psychological counseling activities,the post test scores of the group members were significantly higher than those before the intervention.In the control group,there was no significant difference in school adaptation before and after the test(P = 0.108),and the score of interpersonal adaptation decreased significantly.There was a significant difference in school adaptation between the experimental group and the control group(P = 0.049).There was no significant difference(P =0.604)between the experimental group and the tracking group in the post test of school adaptation,indicating that the effect of group assistance was stable.This shows that group psychological counseling intervention significantly improves the level of Freshmen’s school adaptation.After the intervention,the group members and relevant head teachers were interviewed,and the results of the interview were analyzed.The results show that group members acquire the skills to improve interpersonal,learning and life adaptation in group activities,and think from multiple perspectives;relevant teachers think that students’ recognition of the school is significantly improved after participating in group activities,and they are more active in expressing themselves.The leader analyzed and expressed the effectiveness of tuanfu according to the unit activity record and Owen Yalong’s curative effect factor. |
