| According to Guide to Learning and Development of 3-6 Years Old Children,"Stable Emotions" are regarded as one of the criteria for measuring their health.Researchers found through observation that there are many events caused by negative emotions among middle-class children,which are the root causes of children’s unstable emotions.Based on the viewpoints of existing research,this study supposed that the ability to understand emotions refers to the ability of individuals to interpret the emotions of their own and others;meanwhile,it also refers to the ability to respond appropriately to emotional events.This ability is essential for the individual to maintain emotional stability.The theory of emotional intelligence and music therapy are the bases of the study.During the process of the research,the educational experiment method was mainly used;the literature method,interview method,and observation method were used as well.First,a total of 60 middle-class children are selected and divided into two groups,which have the equal numbers of boys and girls for pre-testing;After confirming that the emotional comprehension abilities of the two groups of children are at the same level,the children in the experimental group were subjected to a 4-week theme music activity,in which they were intervened,followed by post-test and data analysis to evaluate the nine groups of children’s emotional comprehension abilities.And then the study analyzed the reasons for the changes based on the changes of each dimension before and after the experiment,combined with the interview method and observation method;finally it put forward educational suggestions for cultivating the emotional understanding ability of middle class children in thematic music activities.The research results of this study show that before and after the implementation of the activities,the children in the experimental group had emotional understanding of external causes,emotional understanding based on desire,emotional understanding based on belief,emotional cues,emotional regulation,mixed emotional understanding,There has been a significant improvement in the aspect of emotional interpreting;besides,in the respects of emotional expression recognition morality.and hidden emotional understanding,much as the points have improved,there is no significant difference.However,there was no significant improvement in the emotional understanding of the children in the selected group and no significant difference in the data between the two groups.Therefore,it can be concluded that thematic music activities can cultivate the emotional understanding of middle-class children,and then change the way that middle-class children deal with conflict events.Finally,the researcher comes up with some relevant educational suggestions to kindergartens,teachers as well as parents based on interview activities and observation records. |
