Children's emotional understanding ability refers to their ability to understand their own and other people's emotions and understand the causes of things,and to make appropriate responses.Children's emotional understanding ability is an important component of their social cognitive development,which has an important impact on their life-long development.At present,parents and society pay more and more attention to children's emotional understanding ability.As an important place for children to receive education,kindergartens bear the important responsibility of cultivating children's emotional understanding ability.Therefore,based on the theory of music therapy,Orff's music teaching theory,emotional intelligence theory,and the characteristics of children's emotional understanding at this stage,this research takes action research as the main line,establishes a cooperative relationship with X teacher in a garden in Xintai City,designs a series of thematic music activities,and explores them in practical activities with observation and interview methods.The effects of thematic music activities on the emotional understanding ability of middle school children and the ways to cultivate children's emotional ability in music activities are explored.The research mainly includes the following parts: The first part,introduction,introduces the research background,and uses the literature method to collect relevant information to explore the domestic and foreign research on children's emotional understanding ability,and explains the value of music for emotional understanding ability,and leads to the selection of topics.The second part,in the research and design stage,chooses the appropriate research methods and initially formulates the plan.The third part is the research process and results,which mainly includes three stages: the first stage is the pre-test of the emotional understanding ability of the children in the experimental group and the control group;the second stage is the implementation process and reflection of the activities,focusing on music activities: happy,sad,angry,afraid,comprehensive emotions,five themes to intervene in the experimental group;the third stage is the intervention of the experimental group.After testing the level of emotional comprehension of the control group,it was found that after the experimental intervention,the scores of the experimental group were significantly different from those of the control group in the followingdimensions: emotional recognition and expression,belief-based emotional comprehension,understanding of the possibility of emotional regulation,and understanding based on emotional cues,which indicated that thematic music activities had some assistant effects on children's emotional comprehension ability.Use.The fourth part is the discussion and reflection of the research.It is the reflection of the research process and results,and explores the path of developing emotional ability in music activities.The fifth part puts forward research conclusions and educational suggestions.Kindergartens should attach importance to the emotional value of music activities in collective activities,and set up family cooperation such as parent-child balls.Teachers should improve their theoretical literacy to pave the way for curriculum development.Parents should also pay attention to early emotional problems of children,prevent them as early as possible,and play an exemplary role to develop children's emotional understanding ability.
