In order to find out what methods and strategies are commonly used by kindergarten teachers to cultivate children’s emotional understanding ability,and what characteristics do kindergarten teachers have in cultivating children’s emotional understanding ability at the age of 3-6 years,this study used questionnaire survey method and content analysis method to study public and private kindergarten teachers in C and F cities,and selected large,middle,small and small classes in kindergartens as well as small classes.The kindergarten teachers in small classes participated in the survey and sent out questionnaires twice in succession.Study 1: Through an open questionnaire,the purpose of this study is to investigate the strategies of emotional comprehension training commonly used by preschool teachers.What are the specific methods used?Study 2: By answering the Questionnaire on Emotional Understanding Ability Training of Preschool Teachers,we can find out what characteristics preschool teachers have in developing strategies for emotional understanding ability of 3-6 years old children,such as there are grade differences between different grades.In other words,in different grades,teachers use different strategies to cultivate their emotional understanding ability.and what are the basic understandings of preschool teachers on children’s emotional understanding?The main conclusions of this study are as follows:From the first study,it is concluded that:In the daily teaching of kindergarten teachers,the commonly used strategies for nurturing children’s emotional comprehension are mainly three aspects: cognitive strategies,emotional strategies and behavioral strategies,which include seven main methods: picture book reading,teacher-child interaction,video watching,art behavior guidance,game activities,drama performance and emotional recognition.Among them,cognitive strategies include specific methods of reading picture books,watching videos and playing games;emotional strategies include specific methods of teacher-child interaction.From the second study,we concluded that the training strategies of 3-6-year-old children’s emotional comprehension ability are as follows:1.51.9% of teachers often help children understand other people’s emotions.2.41.8% of teachers think that children can begin to understand other people’s emotions at the age of 3-4.3.More than half of the teachers(50.6%)believed that there were differences in emotional understanding between boys and girls.4.The strategies of developing children’s emotional comprehension are different in different age stages:(1)Middle-class teachers use cognitive strategies more to cultivate children’s emotional comprehension ability,and large-class teachers use behavioral strategies more to cultivate children’s emotional comprehension ability;(2)In the use of emotional strategies,middle-class,large-class and small-class teachers use emotional strategies.Teachers use more emotional strategies,while teachers in small classes use less emotional strategies;(3)There is no significant difference in the use of behavioral strategies between small classes,small classes,middle classes and large classes.There are significant differences in the three strategies of developing children’s emotional understanding ability in grade. |
