As the performance of different cohorts,grade is an important factor that affects the mental health of junior high school students.However,there is a lack of theoretical explanation and testing on how the grade specifically affects the mental health of junior high school students.In this paper,interpersonal relationship and academic pressure are used as the intermediate mechanism for grades to affect the mental health of junior high school students.Through the data of "Chinese Education Tracking Survey(CEPS)",it explores the mediating effect of grades on the mental health of junior high school students and the comparison of their effect strength.The study found that the overall mental health of junior high school students is better,and the negative emotions that students may experience are unhappy,depressed,sad,depressed,and boring in life.Students’ academic pressure is generally high,and subjective academic pressure has different manifestations in different disciplines.The subjective academic pressure of Chinese is the lightest,English is the second,and mathematics is the heaviest.Complete the homework assigned by the teacher in the above time.The interpersonal relationship among students is generally good,the quality of parent-child relationship and peer relationship is good,and the closeness of peer relationship is high.After controlling for individual,family,school and other factors,the grade has a significant impact on the mental health of junior high school students.Grades are also closely related to junior high school students’ academic pressure and interpersonal relationships.Grade 9 students have more academic pressure than grade 7 students;grades have more complex influences on interpersonal relationships.Grades are significantly related to parent-child relationships and peer relationships,but are closely related to The quality of peer relationship has no correlation.At the same time,academic pressure and interpersonal relationship have a significant effect on the mental health of junior high school students.Academic pressure has a significant negative effect on the mental health of junior high school students.The greater the subjective academic pressure and objective academic pressure,the lower the mental health level of junior high school students.Interpersonal relationship has a significant positive effect on the mental health of junior high school students.The better the parent-child relationship,the better the peer relationship and the higher the closeness,the higher the student’s mental health level.In addition,it is worth noting that among the many factors that affect the mental health of junior high school students,family factors have a greater impact on the mental health of junior high school students.The mental health of junior high school students is not only closely related to the parent-child relationship,but also related to the family ’s economic situation and parents ’living style,Father / mother’s highest education level,father’s occupation,parents’ educational expectations and other family environment factors.Finally,grades have both direct and indirect effects on the mental health of junior high school students.Grades have an impact on the mental health of junior high school students through academic pressure and interpersonal relationships.The joint mediation effect of academic pressure and interpersonal relationships is significant;Among the independent mediation effects,except for the quality of peer relationship,the mediation effects of other variables are significant.In addition,the empirical results show that the mediating effect of academic pressure is greater than that of interpersonal relationships.Based on the above research conclusions,in order to effectively improve the mental health of junior high school students,we must adhere to the principles of facing the whole,paying attention to individuals,focusing on education,focusing on prevention,and do a good job of overall planning for mental health education.At the same time,attention is paid to the mental health education of lower grade students.At the same time,in the mental health education of junior high school students,it is necessary to form a home-school linkage education mechanism.Schools should pay close attention to students ’mental health,appropriately reduce students’ academic pressure,carry out colorful campus activities,and create a good campus atmosphere.Parents should pay attention to the companionship of their children,respect and understand their children,continuously optimize parent-child relationships,and create a good family environment for the mental health of junior high school students.
