The senior grade of primary school is in the critical pre-adolescence period,along with the physiological and psychological changes,the senior grade of primary school students in this period have more emotional problems,interpersonal conflicts and other mental health problems than before,at the same time,as they are about to enter junior high school,the increase in learning difficulty and content will make them have some learning discomfort,academic stress,which will affect the final academic results.As an indispensable part of individual differences,gender differences have an impact on individual mental health and academic performance.In order to help senior primary school students to improve their mental health and academic performance,to promote the development of self-potential and personality sound.In this study,primary school students of grade 5 and Grade 6 in Tianjin,Zhengzhou and Binzhou were investigated with the Primary School Mental Health Rating Scale(MHRSP),and their academic achievements were collected,the purpose of this study was to explore the relationship among mental health,academic achievement and gender of the students in the upper grade of primary school.The results showed that there was a positive correlation between the mental health level and the academic achievement of the students in the upper grade of primary school,and gender played a moderating role between the total score of mental health,the dimension of learning disability and Chinese achievement.After the analysis and discussion of the research results,the conclusions are as follows:(1)The overall detection rate of mental health was 2.70%,and the overall mental health status was good.Personality disorder,learning disorder and social adaptation disorder are the top three problems of the students in the upper grade of primary school.(2)There are significant differences in the mental health and fractal dimension of the senior pupils in gender,different places of origin and whether they are class cadres or not,there was no significant difference in whether the child was an only child(3)There are significant differences in the Chinese and mathematics achievements of the students in the upper grades of primary school,whether they are class cadres or not,and in the places of origin of the students,there was no significant difference in sex and only child status(4)The mental health level of the students in the upper grade of primary school is positively correlated with their Chinese and mathematics achievements.(5)The dimension of learning disability in mental health has significant negative predictive effect on Chinese and mathematics achievement.(6)Gender played a moderating role between the total score of mental health,the dimension of learning disability and Chinese achievement.Compared with male students,the negative predictive effects of mental health total score and academic barriers on Chinese achievement were stronger in female students.Based on the above conclusions,the implications and suggestions of this study are as follows: School parents attach importance to mental health,forming home-school cooperation;The psychology teacher sets up the related mental health education curriculum,to has the question student to carry on the individual tutorship;Teachers of other subjects should break down gender stereotypes,teach students in accordance with sex,promote cooperative learning and complement each other's advantages.
