Interpersonal relationship is an important factor that influences andsupports mental health, and is a basic and necessary condition for healthydevelopment of individual mental health. Therefore, mastering thecharacteristics of Minority Undergraduates interpersonal relations andtaking effective interventions, can not only enhance the MinorityUndergraduates’ communication competence, but also improve theirmental health. This research adopts generally acknowledged standardswith high reliability and validity to measure interpersonalrelationshipsand mental health, investigates interpersonal relationships characteristicsand mental health status of the Minority Undergraduates from differentangles, and probes into the similarities and differences of studentsdifferent nationalities, the different grade and different gender.Proceeding from the angle of interpersonal relationships, this researchexplores on ways to improve the Minority Undergraduates’ mental healththrough educational interventions, to provide a theoretical foundation andmeaningful guidance for psychological health education in minorityColleges.This research adopts college students Interpersonal ComprehensiveDiagnostic Scale and Symptom Assessment Scale(SCL-90)to investigate507students from four national including the han nationality, Mongolian,manzu, huzu, and carries on statistical analysis with SPSS13.0softwarepackage after the survey data and test results collected. This research alsoconducts an investigation on educational intervention imposed to20students to compare their mental health and interpersonal relationshipsstatus before and after the intervention. This research has obtained thefollowing results:(1) Overall speaking, students from the Minority Undergraduatesperform more perplexed than ordinary college students in interpersonal relationships. Further research finds that: Minority Undergraduatesdifferent national relationships than a significant difference in each nationof manchu another relatively low. Along with the increase of the grade,Along with the increase of grade, interpersonal relations troubled eachfactor score ratio decreased obviously. In different gender, the boy havemore perplexed than girl in interpersonal relationship.(2) Minority Undergraduates’ psychological health condition aresignificantly different. Grade is not affect national minority studentsmental health status of the main factors. Different gender college students’mental health significantly different, The boy’s psychological health levelless than girls. Minority students mental health below the national collegestudents.(3) Through targeted group counseling, not only the MinorityUndergraduates interpersonal relationships can be improved, but also thelevel of their mental health can increase significantly.In a word, in order to improve the Minority Undergraduatesinterpersonal relationships and their mental health status, it is necessaryto enhance the educational interventions focusing on short service termand high school to college students, set up Minority Undergraduatesmental health records, carry out regular mental health examinations,master how college students mental health status change and takeeducational interventions.
