The product quality of manufacturing instruct in China needs to improve with the emergence of new technologies such as artificial intelligence,Internet and big data.Under such circumstance,manufacturing quality needs to improve and industries upgrade,which requires the teaching ability of manufacturing teachers in secondary vocational school much higher.Insides,National Vocational Education Reform Program is published,setting new request to teaching ability of manufacturing teachers in secondary vocational school.In this study,the literatures about the teaching ability of secondary vocational school teachers are consulted,the current research situation at home and abroad summarized,the research theory determined,the core concepts“teaching ability” explained,and the general situation of the teaching ability of manufacturing teachers in secondary vocational school further analyzed.Meanwhile,combining the characteristics of the processing and manufacturing specialty,it investigates the manufacturing teachers of J secondary vocational school in Tianjin by questionnaires and interviewing.With the data collected and analyzed,the current situation is as following.Firstly,the teachers could master professional theoretical knowledge,while they know a little about professional practical knowledge.Then,they are able to manage the class and students,whereas they design courses without linking the working process.Finally,they are awareness of improve their teaching and research abilities,instead of their professional knowledge.In order to improve the teaching ability of manufacturing teachers in secondary vocational schools,it should make up for their shortcomings meanwhile maintaining their advantages.The key is that the practical skills training should be arranged reasonably,and what the teachers have learned should be consolidated through skill competition in their own school,meanwhile,the teachers’ feelings should be focused on.What’s more,manufacturing teachers in secondary vocational school should also understand vocational education concept of the working process-oriented deeply,and be able to combine their acquired knowledge with teaching.
