Nowadays,with the rapid development of the national economy and increase demand for talents,enterprises have stricter requirements on the quality of talents.This has become the mission and task of vocational educators in the new era to cultivate practical talents with good professional ethics,professional practice ability and reform and innovation ability.The quality of talent training is closely related to the quality of teachers' teaching.Therefore,in order to cultivate a technical talent that can be used by the society,it is imperative to comprehensively enhance the education quality of teachers in vocational schools and improve their teaching ability.This paper focuses on the status quo of teachers' teaching ability in secondary vocational schools,by investigating the status quo of teaching ability of 806 teachers and 981 students in 18 secondary vocational schools in Hubei province by means of questionnaire surveys and interviews.First,examine the existing literature and defines "teaching ability of secondary vocational teachers".Then investigated the teaching ability of teachers in secondary vocational schools by questionnaire,analysis under the different background variables of teachers' status differences,coupled with teacher interview analysis,and discusses the status quo and existing problems of the secondary vocational teachers' teaching ability.On this basis,the influencing factors of teachers' teaching ability are analyzed,and a regression model is constructed to analyze the influence degree of each factor.Finally,in view of the current situation of teachers' teaching ability,the author puts forward some countermeasures for training,and then makes some suggestions on the reform of teachers' management mode.The research finds that the teaching ability of teachers in secondary vocational schools is in the middle level.The development of teachers' abilities in all dimensions is unbalanced,and the problem of emphasizing theory and neglecting practice is more prominent.The development level of teachers' teaching ability is unbalanced among different groups,and there are significant differences in gender,age,teaching age,professional title,"double-qualified" teachers,full-time and part-time teachers and other aspects: Male teachers' teaching ability is significantly higher than female teachers,on the dimension of knowledge level 55 to 60 teachers,the most powerful in 46 to 50 teachers teaching skills dimension,most powerful teaching experience in more than 20 years of teacher's teaching ability is significantly higher than other teachers,deputy high titles more than teachers' teaching ability is significantly higher than other teachers,"double type" teachers teaching ability is significantly higher than the "double type" teachers,part-time teachers in teaching skills dimension is significantly higher than full-time teachers;The structure of teachers is not balanced,the number of teachers with high education and professional titles is small,and the number of "double-qualified" teachers and part-time teachers is seriously insufficient.The shortcomings of teachers' professional practice ability are obvious,and the school does not pay enough attention to the training of teachers' practice ability.Teachers' information-based teaching ability is not strong,and information-based teaching training is not in place;Teachers' ability to "develop students" is limited,and their ability to effectively guide students in learning and practice is insufficient.The teaching ability of young teachers is not strong,and the school's training of young teachers is not enough.In addition,the teaching ability of secondary vocational teachers will be affected by multiple factors such as social security,teacher training,teachers' own learning willingness and school teacher management.Based on this,the following countermeasures and management suggestions for teacher training are put forward: the national government and local education departments need to focus on improving the "school-enterprise cooperation" and other policies and systems,and increase financial support to secondary vocational schools.Schools should strengthen the training of secondary vocational teachers' teaching ability,optimize the training mode,and build a high level of "double-qualified" teachers.To strengthen teachers' lifelong education and improve teachers' self-learning initiative;To construct a teacher evaluation and incentive system with teaching ability as the core in secondary vocational schools,and to change the traditional management into a unified management mode with management guidance and teachers' independent management.
