Primary school classical poetry teaching plays an irreplaceable role in understanding ancient Chinese knowledge,accumulating simple classical Chinese experience,initially forming national aesthetic taste,and inheriting Chinese traditional culture.In contrast to the new curriculum standards and the core literacy requirements of Chinese,the current status of the classroom teaching of classical poetry in primary schools should be studied.What are the remaining problems? This study selected three primary schools in Z city to conduct an in-depth discussion on the current situation of classical poetry teaching in the upper grades of primary schools.In order to achieve the purpose of understanding the current situation of classical poetry teaching in the upper grades of primary school and analyze the existing problems and propose corresponding improvement strategies,the research adopts a questionnaire survey method as the main method and a literature research method as a supplementary research method.This research tries to reveal the reasons for the inefficiency of poetry classroom teaching in the upper grades of primary school,and provides theoretical and practical guidance for improving the quality and efficiency of poetry classroom teaching.The study included 560 senior students in three primary schools in Z city and 54 senior Chinese teachers.The investigation found that the reason for the current situation of classical poetry teaching in senior primary schools was the lack of teachers’ theoretical knowledge of teaching and students’ learning was affected by evaluation methods.The compilation of poems in the textbook failed to consider the instrumental nature of the poems.According to the above research,corresponding improvement countermeasures are put forward from four perspectives from three stages before,during and after classroom teaching.The research content mainly includes the following parts.First,the research designs a questionnaire around poetry teaching and conducts a survey of the status quo.According to the constituent elements of teaching activities and the survey data,it analyzes the primary school from the three aspects of teacher teaching,student learning and classical poetry texts.The current situation of classical poetry teaching in senior grades and its existing problems are summarized.Secondly,it analyzes the causes of classical poetry teaching in the upper grades of primary school,and deeply explores the reasons that affect classical poetry teaching from the three aspects of teachers,students and textbooks.Third,the research puts forward the countermeasures to improve the classical poetry teaching in the upper grades of primary school.In response to the above-mentioned problems and reasons,various strategies were proposed in the three stages before,during and after the classroom teaching.The classroom teaching preparation strategies before classroom teaching include innovative use of teaching materials,and the main teaching behavior strategies in the classroom teaching process include recitation strategies combined with traditional poetry teaching theories,and imagination strategies based on receiving aesthetic theories.Supplementary teaching behavior strategies include effective classroom communication strategies.Poetry teaching evaluation strategies after classroom teaching include some more effective evaluation strategies based on extracurricular learning.In the process of researching strategies,combining his own teaching practice and traditional poetry theory,he put forward the concepts of "established image","immediate image" and "imitation",which provided a research foundation for subsequent classical poetry teaching strategies.
