Classical poetry is the essence of Chinese traditional culture. Its concise language, rich imagination, beautiful mood create a magnificent world which influences generations of people. In today's Chinese teaching, classical poetry always remains critical part in examinations, textbook compilation, and new curriculum reform. However, due to various factors, problems of the scattered knowledge system, the false teaching method, teachers not teaching from the text and students showing low interest in learning appear in classical poetry teaching. The classical poetry cannot show its power. Students even get a low score in the part of poetry appreciation in college entrance examination which is the most authoritative feedback of classical poetry leaning. Therefore, while taking the current situation of high school classical poetry teaching into account the thesis tries to explore the relationship between poetry appreciation questions in college entrance examination and classical poetry teaching.The introduction firstly the origin of the research project, a brief introduction in which the classical poetry is in the embarrassing situation in the teaching, studying and examination; secondly, the significance of this issue expecting to provide suggestions to the development and reform of the college entrance examination and to classical poetry teaching and studying is analyzed. Thirdly, the current situation of the research on this subject is analyzed. And finally the main research ideas and research methods are presented.The first part of body is about the analysis on the poetry appreciation in college entrance examination questions. The thesis studies the poetry appreciation part in national papers from 2002 to 2015. First, what is the basis of the college entrance examination proposition poetry appreciation and how the questions designed are in progress are studied. An analysis of the importance of the new curriculum standards and the test syllabus is of great help. The material selected, the question types and the focus of the college entrance examination proposition poetry appreciation will also be analyzed.The second part is about the analysis on the classical poetry teaching in high school. First, the significance of classical poem teaching is fully explained, mainly from the angle of Chinese curriculum standards, the teaching texts and examination. Then, the problems of teaching classical poetry is analyzed, including teachers' teaching separating from the text, the inappropriate teaching methods, students' low interest in learning classical poetry and their fragmented knowledge on appreciation. Finally, the reasons are given including the adverse influence from the social environment and the college entrance examination, teacher's obsolete teaching philosophy and their lack of literary accomplishment, students with learning disabilities and their inadequate experience. All of these will help teachers to form a clear understanding of this issue.The third part is about the reflection and the suggestions on the question designing and teaching of classical poetry in high school. Firstly, the relationship between the two is talked about. The questions designed in classical poetry appreciation will orient the classical poetry teaching from the aspects of classroom teaching and teaching material. There is interdependency and mutual promotion between classical poetry teaching of high school and the college entrance examination proposition of poetry appreciation, which has contact and restrict. Secondly, this paper discusses that the college entrance examination proposition of poetry appreciation has a positive and negative effect on the classical poetry teaching of high school. According to the negative effect, the author will make the corresponding adjustment and reflection in time.The fourth part is the suggestions to improve the question designing and teaching of classical poetry in high school. According to the college entrance examination proposition of poetry appreciation, the author proposed three modified suggestion: grip the guiding ideology of the new curriculum standard; pursue the richness of the material and notice the comprehensiveness of capacity checking; consider the actual classroom teaching fully. The suggestions on the four aspects of Chinese classroom teaching should also be taken into account. The four aspects include the refreshing of teaching beliefs, the improvement of teachers' quality, the civilization of the students' enthusiasm and making full use of the teaching material.
