With the promotion of the new curriculum reform,extracurricular reading teaching has become an indispensable part of the Chinese classroom.The Chinese language plays an important role in the development and inheritance of Chinese language and characters,and in improving students’ ability and moral education.Students can learn Chinese well,a large number of extracurricular reading is the key,and the key for students to carry out a large number of extracurricular reading is the interest of reading,only with the interest of reading,can change "want me to read" to "I want to read ",in order to give full play to students’ autonomy.At present,under the influence of some traditional ideas and factors,the extracurricular reading of the senior grade of primary school is not paid enough attention to.Based on the actual situation of the teaching school,the author discusses how to cultivate the extracurricular reading of the senior grade students in primary schools.The article consists of five parts in total.The first part: introduction,mainly explained the research background,domestic research on extracurricular reading,as well as the author’s purpose and significance of this study,research ideas and research methods.The second part of the article: Taking the fourth primary school of Zhumadian city of Henan Province as an example,the present situation and existing problems of extracurricular reading in senior grade are investigated and analyzed.In general,there are the following problems in Chinese extracurricular reading for senior primary school students: students themselves do not like reading,have no time to read,parents do not support reading,lack of effective reading method guidance,lack of interaction between school,students and family,the formation of students’ good reading habits need to be strengthened,students’ reading ability needs to be improved,and so on.The third part of the article is about the training methods of reading interest in Chinese after class in the senior grade of primary school: one is to carry out effective reading method guidance,the other is to arrange reasonable and clear extracurricular reading tasks,the third is reasonable and effective teaching evaluation,the fourth is torespect students’ comprehensive and individualized reading,the fifth is to use existing interest to stimulate reading interest,the sixth is to interact effectively with parents,and the seventh is to build class environment.The fourth part of the article is specific cases that stimulate children’s interest in reading.The fifth part: summarizes the effect of this research activity,with additional comments and suggestions.
