| Studying the respect education in the ideological and political education of college students is conducive to enriching the content of the ideological and political education of College students,and further improving the sense of obtaining ideological and political education in Colleges and universities.Respect education in college students’ ideological and political education aims at enhancing college students’ self-consciousness and habit of respecting human beings,social rules and natural laws.In this paper,we use the methods of documentary research and investigation to explore the profound connotation of respect from the perspectives of semantics,sociology and ethics.Respect as the subject’s response involves the following four aspects: attention,compliance,positive evaluation and appropriate behavior.Respect education has two main connotations.First,respect education refers to educators creating a democratic and equal atmosphere in the process of education and teaching,respecting students’ subjectivity and creativity.This connotation regards respecting education as a way of education.Second,respect education refers to cultivating students’ consciousness and ability to respect people,social rules and natural laws.This connotation regards respecting education as the content of education in the process of education and teaching.Respect education in the ideological and political education of college students is the combination of two connotations of respect education.It advocates that respect education in the first connotation should be taken as an educational way to cultivate college students’ consciousness and ability of respecting people,social rules and natural laws.Through investigation and research,it is found that respect education incollege students’ ideological and political education has achieved certain results,but there are still some problems: the content of respect education lacks systematicness and pertinence,the carrier of carrying out respect education is single,and the ideological and political educators fail to give full play to the leading role of respect education concept.Through the analysis,the reasons for these problems lie in the insufficient understanding of the value of respect education,the inaccurate grasp of the content of respect education and the status quo of students’ respect literacy,and the inadequate understanding of the organic relationship between respect education and carrier.In view of these problems and their causes,it is necessary to put forward corresponding solutions,including constructing systematic and targeted content of respect education,enriching various carriers of respect education,ideological and political educators should consciously take the lead in implementing the concept of "respect". |
