Research On Government Function In Dongtai City To Build A National Civilized City

The National Civilized City is the "highest honor" of the city that people are eager for and concerned about.It marks the high quality of the city’s development level and a good mental outlook,is the highest value of the city’s name card.The degree of civilization of a city,inheriting the historical context,highlighting the thickness of a city,determines its long-term future.Building a national civilized city is an important way to vigorously cultivate and practice the core socialist values and build a moral highland.It is an important measure to complete the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects.It is a livelihood project that benefits the people,and it is the most authoritative assessment of the development level of a modern city.It can comprehensively improve the degree of city civilization,citizen civilization quality and comprehensive competitiveness,and achieve social prosperity and long-term peace and stability.Dongtai has been awarded as the Civilized City of Jiangsu Province for several consecutive times,and participated in the sixth National Civilized City(2018-2020).It also successfully passed the provincial evaluation and was recommended by the Provincial Civilization Office to the Central Civilization Office.However,in the final evaluation organized by the Central Civilization Office,Dongtai failed to be selected by a very small margin.Therefore,this paper takes Dongtai Municipal Government as the object of study,and it is of certain research value and representativeness to deeply analyze and study its function play in the construction of national civilized city,which can provide reference and inspiration for other similar cities.This topic research guided by the theory of public choice,urban governance,and summarized the domestic and foreign theories about urban governance,and civilized city to create results,from the aspects of planning and design,overall coordination and public service,mainly studies and analyzes the fulfillment of government in the process of creating civilized city dongtai responsibilities,such as comparative analysis,questionnaire method as a research tool,on the basis of widely collecting first-hand information,analysis all aspects of the dongtai to create civilized city practice problems of government function,at the same time reference and absorption of other domestic successful mode and experience of the same kind of urban civilization to create,Finally,based on the situation of the city,combined with their own reality,put forward targeted suggestions on optimizing the government functions in the construction of civilized city in Dongtai City,in order to provide some reference for the government of Dongtai City and other regions and related functional departments to perform their functions efficiently and with high quality in the construction of civilized city.
