Zhao Mengjian "From The Book Poem Volume" Calligraphy Artistic Style Study

Zhao Mengjian is one of the most important calligraphers in the southern Song Dynasty.As the representative work of zhao Mengjian’s calligraphy style in his later years,"From the Book Poem Volume" can best reflect his true qualities as a calligrapher,and the artistic outlook displayed is very appealing,which is a good model for us to learn calligraphy today.In view of this,this paper is divided into three chapters zhao Mengjian and "from the book poem volume" to carry out in-depth research.The first chapter starts from the cultural and historical background of Zhao Mengjian’s "Zishu Poem Volume",and researches zhao Mengjian’s family background,life,friends and the spread and collection of "Zishu Poem volume".The second chapter is the key part of this paper.It analyzes the style characteristics of Zishu Poem volume from three aspects of calligraphy,brushwork and chapter method.By comparing it with contemporary calligraphic masterpieces of Lu You,Zhu Xi and Fan Chengda,it explores its artistic characteristics and analyzes the causes of its calligraphic style.The third chapter through the "from the book poem volume" copy and creation,learning its writing characteristics,and apply to their own calligraphy creation.
