Study On Folk Poetry In Southern Song Dynasty

Folklore,as a genre of poetry,has formed a certain scale in the poetry circle of the Southern Song Dynasty and has become a prominent cultural phenomenon with literary characteristics different from those of the previous generation.Its prosperity is related to the changes of the poet’s cultural consciousness,value orientation,social politics,economy,ideology and other multiple factors.Studying this kind of literary phenomenon not only broadens the studying field of the subject matter of song poetry,but also makes up for the defects of folk poetry in the creation history.Up to now,there is no works or papers on the overall and systematic study of folk poems in the Southern Song Dynasty.In view of this,as an important literary phenomenon,folk poems in the Southern Song Dynasty have certain theoretical value and practical significance in carrying out literature-based research on a large number of various folk poems.Base on the study of the external folk customs of folk poems in the S-outhern Song Dynasty,this paper focuses on the study of the interior,nam-ely,the text of folk customs.On the whole,it adopts the principle of combi-ning macro and micro,based on the text and literature,and on the basis of analysis of a large number of works,it makes a regular summary of folk p-oems in the Southern Song Dynasty.At the same time,following the princ-iple of historicity,in the process of the Development of folk poetry seekin-g differences from similarities,the characteristics of folk poetry in the Sout-hern Song Dynasty were summed up.On the basis of the research of various folk poetry researching scholars and the evolution of folk customs,this paper defines the concept of folk poetry as a poetic work with the theme of recording or expressing human folk activities or folk phenomena,defines the connotation and denotation of folk poetry,and chooses the selection criteria of folk poetry in Southern Song Dynasty.It became increasingly prosperous in the Northern Song Dynasty,prospered in the Southern Song Dynasty and formed a certain scale.It studied the diachronic development of folk poetry and highlighted the characteristics of folk poetry in the Southern Song Dynasty in its historical process of development and evolution.The thesis probes into the folk poems of the Southern Song Dynasty from the three stages of Nandu,Zhongxing and the late Southern Song Dynasty.The paper explores it from the recollection and memory of the ancient capital’s folk custom in the folk custom poems in the early days of Nandu,the folk custom observation in different places in the early days,to the all-encompassing folk custom poems in the ZTE period,to the folk custom poems in the late Southern Song Dynasty that continued to develop after inheriting the creative spirit of ZTE’s folk custom poems.On the whole,the creation style of folk poems in the Southern Song Dynasty shows the following characteristics:diversified and folk in genre;a large number of common sayings and dialects are introduced into poetry,and the language style changes from popularity to vulgarity;the poet showed a strong consciousness of active recording;creating folk poems has a clear purpose,showing an active view of folk customs,the folk poems of the Southern Song Dynasty show the tendency of poeticizing and expressing folk customs on a thematic basis;the folk poems of the Southern Song Dynasty show a concern for people in folk activities,especially for the life of commoners in cloth,conveying the poet’s appreciation of the life in villages and wild areas.During the Southern Song Dynasty,the poet’s sense of family and country became more and more strong in the face of foreign countries and different groups.In the middle of the Southern Song Dynasty,the trend of revising history prevailed.Folklore notes,local chronicles and other folkloric works have flourished.Poets regard poetry as another way to record folk customs.Song people’s concept of poetry history also affects the cultural value orientation of Song people.The net distribution of talents in the Southern Song Dynasty,the expansion of scholars’stratum and the popularization of knowledge laid a cultural foundation for the prosperity of folk poetry after the South Passage.The further development of the Song scholars’ literary idea of regarding vulgarity as elegance in the Southern Song Dynasty also laid a foundation for the prosperity of folk poetry in the Southern Song Dynasty.Pushed together by many factors,the creation of folk poems in the Southern Song Dynasty presents a magnificent sight.
