Discourse marker is an important language component that expresses functional meaning without truth condition.This article selects discourse markers “Shuodaodi”and “Shuobaile”,by analyzing the corpus,the article firstly discusses and compares the usage and function of the two discourse markers from the synchronize perspective.Then,from the diachronic perspective,it focuses on the development of different usages of the two,clarify the development of the two discourse markers through the tracing work,summarize and compare the causes of the two discourse markers.The main body of the article is composed of six parts:The first part is the introduction,which summarizes the research object and significance,research status at home and abroad,research methods and corpus sources,laying the foundation for the development of the main part of the paper.The second part mainly introduce the usage of “Shuodaodi”of and “Shuobaile”in modern Chinese,based on the CCL corpus of Peking University,BCC corpus and China News Network.Firstly illustrates the usage of the two when they undertake different grammatical functions.Secondly illustrates the definition and characteristics of discourse markers “Shuodaodi”of and “Shuobaile”.The third part describes the discourse markers“Shuodaodi” and “Shuobaile”at the synchronic level,and compares their similarities and differences from three aspects: syntactic position,semantic coherence and pragmatic function.The fourth part carries on the functional description of the previous part,respectively describes the diachronic evolution of“Shuodaodi” and “Shuobaile”.The fifth part is based on the function comparison and the diachronic sorting.From the perspective of theoretical explanation,it summarizes the similarities and differences in the causes of two discourse markers by analyzing their evolution rules.The sixth part is the concluding part,which summarizes the main points of the article and points out the shortcomings.
