In recent years, discourse markers have become a research hotspot at home and abroad.Schiffrin,Fraser,Blackmore and other foreign linguists have established the basic theoretical framework and guiding principles of discourse markers, which have stimulated the research interest of many domestic linguists and promoted the The research process of discourse markers enriches its research results. This paper takes the discourse marker "Yeah" as the research object, combined with related theories such as discourse marker theory, cognitive pragmatics theory, conversation analysis, etc.,based on Peking University CCL Corpus,Media Language Corpus(MLC),using quantitative and qualitative, synchronic and The research method combines diachronic, description and interpretation to study the function and evolution of the discourse marker "ye shi".In addition to the introduction and conclusion, the full text consists of the following three parts:The first part establishes the judgment standard based on the generalization of the nature of the discourse marker, judges "ye shi" as a discourse marker, and makes it clear that it is developed and evolved from the biased phrase "ye shi" composed of the adjective "is".In addition, based on the classification of discourse markers by Jucker & Smith(1998),"ye shi" is divided into acceptance markers and expressive markers, and it is believed that acceptance markers have the semantic characteristics of "active" and "passive",and the expressive markers are further divided into Information-Centric Expression Markers and Receiver-Centric Expression Markers. The second part explores the function of "ye shi".The function of "yes" is discussed from the four aspects of discourse, interpersonal, interaction and subjectivity. The function is mainly reflected in two aspects of expressing one’s own attitude and maintaining the face of the addressee;the interaction function is mainly reflected in three aspects: responding to the response, prompting the addressee, and indicating the common cognitive state of both parties; The subjective function is analyzed, and it is believed that the affirmative attitude of the speaker at the beginning of the turn reflects the subjective function of the discourse marker.interactive subjectivity function. The third part explores the evolution of "ye shi" and its motivation and mechanism. The usage of "ye shi" as a discourse marker roughly germinated in the Song and Yuan Dynasties, formed in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and developed in modern Chinese;"ye shi" was pragmatically transformed from a biased phrase into an acceptance marker and further developed into an expressive marker, which is based on economic principles.,Politeness Principle,Pragmatic Strategy and Conversational Strategy, etc.,are formed under the combined action of mechanisms such as semantic blurring and the solidification of syntactic structure. |
