The Study Of The Discourse Marker "哪里的话"

In this paper,the discourse marker"哪里的话"is taken as the research object,and with the help of CCL Peking University Corpus,BCC Beijing Language and Culture University corpus and relevant theories of discourse markers and discourse analysis,a comprehensive,detailed and in-depth investigation of"哪里的话"is carried out to reveal its objective laws and characteristics in use."哪里的话"is a typical discourse marker,which does not involve the propositional content,shows strong subjective emotion,is relatively independent,and its position in the sentence is relatively flexible.Syntactically,as a discourse marker,"哪里的话"can be located at the beginning,middle and end of a discourse wheel,or act as a discourse wheel independently.Structurally,it is often co-used with some appellation words,predicate verbs and modal words.In the discourse,there are nine types of initiators that trigger the appearance of the discourse mark"哪里的话":speculation,elaboration,praise,thanks,remorse,apology,self-damage,request and promise.The textual cohesion function of discourse marker"哪里的话"is mainly reflected in the logical relationship between the subsequent sentence and the initiator,which mainly includes reverse expression relationship,explanatory complement relationship,progressive relationship and transition relationship.As a discourse marker,the basic meaning of"哪里的话"is negation,and its negation has two types:semantic negation and pragmatic negation.Its pragmatic functions are mainly embodied in the textual organization function and interpersonal interaction function.Driven by the rules of motivation mechanism,such as subjectivism and interactive subjectivism,conversational cooperation criterion and politeness principle,structural reduction,and re-analysis,discourse marker"哪里的话"is gradually formed and stabilized.
