In recent years,the research on the topic selection of master’s thesis in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages has received extensive attention from the academic circles,and many of the topic selection studies have carried out investigations in a certain area or a certain school.Through the search on CNKI,Wanfang and other websites,we found that there is no research on the topic selection of full-time foreign students in the School of International Education of H University in the North.The topic selection of foreign students’ dissertation for the master’s degree in international education is the research object,and it is analyzed from the perspective of topic type and topic content,so as to grasp the general situation of the topic selection of international students,and summarize the advantages and disadvantages of the dissertation topic selection according to the analysis results.Its advantages are mainly rich in content and novel perspectives;focus on the current situation of Chinese teaching;focus on research and research;multi-field cross-study;disadvantages are mainly uneven distribution of attention and lack of spirit of exploration and research.Afterwards,this paper uses the interview method to understand the internal and external factors that influence the topic selection of international students.In addition,since the School of International Education of the school also recruits Chinese students for the Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages,in order to understand the similarities and differences between the topics selected by Chinese and foreign students,this paper will also use Yang Shuo’s "Research on the Selection of Topics for the Master’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages" is the basis for the comparison of topics selected by Chinese students,focusing on four aspects: the content type of topic selection,the changing trend of topic selection type,the influencing factors of topic selection and the characteristics of topic selection.Finally,based on the above analysis results,this study puts forward suggestions for improving the quality of topics selected by foreign students for the Master of Chinese Language Teaching in the School of International Education of North H University from three aspects: training units,tutor guidance and international students themselves. |
