This paper takes Zhengzhou University’s 2014-2021 session of 363 master’s thesis in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages as the main research object,and supplemented by Beijing Language and Culture University’s 2019-2021,conducted a comprehensive and detailed analysis of the topic selection of the thesis through research methods such as survey research method,statistical analysis method and comparative analysis method.The quality of the topic selection of the professional dissertation in Zhengzhou University has certain practical significance.The research is divided into four parts.First,the static and dynamic analysis of the selected topics for a total of 363 master’s thesis in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages in Zhengzhou University from 2014 to 2021 will focus on the form and content of topic selection.The form of topic selection is divided into research report,case analysis,teaching design,special research,teaching experiment report,etc.according to the requirements in the "Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages Master’s Program".There are 11 categories: Teaching Chinese as a Second Language,Acquisition and Bias Analysis,Chinese Ontology Research,Learner Research,Textbook Analysis,Teacher Research,Culture and Communication,Network and Multimedia Teaching,Test and Competition Research,Classroom Research,and Chinese Professional Studies in International Education.Secondly,compare Zhengzhou University and Beijing Language and Culture University in 2019-2021 with a total of 421 master’s thesis topics.Beijing Language and Culture University,as one of the earliest institutions of higher learning to set up this major in 2007,has rich experience in running schools,With the advantages of outstanding geographical location and strong faculty,the thesis topic selection is relatively more cutting-edge and the research field is broader.By comparing and exploring the similarities and differences in the thesis topic selection of the two universities,the characteristics of Zhengzhou University’s thesis topic selection and the direction of future efforts are analyzed.Thirdly,by distributing questionnaires to the 2017-2019 students of the major of Zhengzhou University,the internal and external factors affecting the topic selection of the master’s degree thesis of the major of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages in Zhengzhou University are analyzed,and the subjective tendencies and objective difficulties in the process of students’ dissertation topic selection are explored.Finally,according to the analysis of the dissertation topics of the two universities and the results of the questionnaire survey,this paper aims to improve the quality of the topic selection of the master’s thesis in the major of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Zhengzhou University from five perspectives: professional evaluation,Sino-foreign language exchange and cooperation centers,training units,tutors and students.make a suggestion.This paper analyzes the topic selection of a total of 700 papers from Zhengzhou University and Beijing Language and Culture University,and finds that the topic selection of the two universities has strong practicality and application.Provide more practical opportunities,strengthen the connection between teaching,practice and thesis topic selection,and improve the normative and scientific nature of student thesis topic selection. |
