Application Of Narrative Illustration In Popular Science Children’s Picture Books

Narrative illustration,as an important branch of illustration art,"tells the story"through specific visual elements,with strong language logic.General children’s picture books is the fusion of science and art,based on the narrative illustration as the breakthrough point,this paper studies a nature images of children’s picture books in the narrative illustration elements and structure,in view of the narrative illustration design principle and form of expression study and analysis,combining general children picture books with narrative illustration,in children’s way of understanding the present popular science content,Feel the philosophy behind it,therefore,has infinite artistic imagination and visual image transmission power.Taking popular science children’s picture books as the research carrier and adopting the creative form of narrative illustration,this paper not only meets the increasingly vigorous aesthetic needs of modern people,but also easily attracts non professional researchers to explore scientific knowledge,so as to meet the national strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education.At present,the main problems faced by domestic popular science children’s picture books are:first,the conflict between the preciseness of popular science knowledge and the vividness of picture books.The second is the contradiction between complex and cumbersome professional knowledge and illustration design with limited expression.From the perspective of narrative theory,popular science children’s picture books are not only a diversified creation of works,but also a process of combining graphics and life,which is more conducive to improving the scene expression and story communication in illustration.This paper is divided into five chapters,which are described as follows:the first chapter is the introduction,which summarizes the train of thought and framework of the full text;The second chapter combs the relevant definitions of popular science children’s picture books and narrative illustration,and analyzes the characteristics of narrative illustration;The third chapter analyzes the elements of narrative illustration in popular science children’s picture books;The fourth chapter analyzes the illustration narrative principles and forms of popular science children’s picture books,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the practice part;The fifth chapter is the practice and summary of popular science children’s picture books based on narrative illustration,and takes the above theory as the creative basis to complete the original popular science children’s picture book "Yuan Yuan’s four seasons Tour".To sum up,this paper discusses and creates science children’s picture books from the perspective of narrative illustration,which not only improves the author’s aesthetic level and design ability,but also hopes to provide some practical references for the publication and creation of related science children’s picture books.
