| In recent years,China has been advocating quality-oriented education for children,the core of which is to cultivate talents who are quick to think and have creativity.Children are in the age stage of gradual mental development,receiving new things and learn scientific knowledge at a faster speed.Popular science education,as a basic type of education,is very important for children’s thinking development.Children’s science popular picture books are not only the combination of science and art,but also create an important carrier for children to know the world and learn knowledge through books in their early years.While aiming at spreading basic scientific knowledge,children’s science popular picture books also need to meet the cognitive development requirements of children from different ages.This paper takes the visual design form of children’s science popular picture books as the main research object,expounding the definition and classification of children’s science popular picture books,analyzing the similarities and differences between children’s science popular picture books and other types of picture books,and summarizing the design characteristics of children’s science popular picture books.By combing with the cognitive characteristics of children,the existing universal problems of children’s science popular picture books in China are found.Through the analysis of the design cases of children’s science popular picture books at home and abroad,trying to explore more possibilities of the design of children’s science popular picture books from the content and visual communication form of books. |
