With the promotion of the New Curriculum Reform,English reading teacher in junior middle school is also making corresponding changes.Teachers pay more attention to the development of students’ English reading ability,but there still exist a vast array of problems,including the facts that students can’t understand the article deeply because of the lack of necessary background knowledge,the activities after reading are relatively single and the activities are limited to exercises,which is not helpful for deepening students’ understanding of the article.As a new classroom teaching model and organization form the blended teaching mode provides a new idea and insight for further education reform.Its main characteristics are online and offline interaction.It is consistent with requirements of the New Curriculum Reform,which pays more attention to stimulation of students’ interests and cultivation of autonomous learning ability as well as collaborative innovation ability.At the beginning of September 2020,the author conducted teaching practice in Class One of Grade 3,there are 46 students.During the teaching process,an action research method,classroom observation,questionnaire survey,interview,test etc are adopt.After 4 months of teaching research,this paper improves blended teaching mode.It also discusses the implementation strategies of the blended teaching mode.The research is divided into the following two steps.The first phase from September to October,its main task is to observe the problems in the application of the blended teaching mode then correct them.The main task of the second step is to optimize the blended teaching mode and summarize its application strategy.By analyzing the data of two rounds of teaching research,the author concludes that the blended teaching mode can be applied to the English reading classroom in junior middle school,which can improve the students’ English reading performance and English interest.Finally,the shortcomings and problems of this study are put forward,and the prospect of further research is made. |
