| Education of Chinese national conditions in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language is increasingly significant.The education of Chinese national conditions can benefit Chinese learners in their Chinese learning and mastery of Chinese while it improves the effect of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.Thus,the education of Chinese national conditions simultaneously could lay a solid foundation for the international community to get a multi-dimensional,comprehensive and realistic understanding to China,and could know better about China.Therefore,the author takes Southwest University as an example to study the current education of Chinese national conditions in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language in the university.This paper contains six chapters--introduction,survey of the current education of Chinese national conditions,analysis of the collected data,summary of the analysis,reflection and recommendations,followed by conclusion.Based on the scholars’ previous,the author presents the current education of Chinese national conditions practiced in the Teaching of Chinese as a Foreign Language at Southwest University.Different kinds of research methods are used in this article,such as questionnaires and field works,which helps the author objectively to analyze the existing problems and propose the corresponding suggestions.The article finds that the university is lack of a systematic and specialized curriculum of Chinese national conditions,as well as is short of syllabus and supportive textbooks for Chinese national conditions.Most of the current textbooks exist insufficient knowledge of the national conditions.Some of the textbooks are filled with outdate information.It can be found that the language courses obtain priorities in the education of Chinese national conditions in the school,that the school cannot provide sufficient resources for the teaching of national conditions.It is recommended to develop the syllabus of the national conditions course,to prolong teaching hours,to provide more updated textbooks as well as sufficient teaching resources.The author hopes that this research could provide beneficial reference for faculties enhancing the education of Chinese national conditions in teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Southwest University while providing some suggestions and ideas for the school to solve the current problems in education of Chinese national conditions. |
