Today with the rapid development of modern science and technology,the focus of competition between countries has not only focused on a single country’s economic strength, military strength problem, more and more countries began to focus on improving their own cultural soft power. The so-called soft power including the power of science and technology, national cultural quality, cultural and educational capacity, etc., which can not be ignored is the language of a country’s strategic development issues. In this case, we as linguistics researchers from the national strategic perspective to examine the development of various undertakings in the development of contemporary China, the primary concern is the state language policy issues. Development of national language policy is the compass national language strategy development, development times for language policy would promote the progress of society is conducive to the development of political, economic and other undertakings to improve the language and cultural qualities of the people. Based on our ancient, modern and contemporary language policies in order, establish common language from the nation to develop the perspective of protection of minority languages and dialects and foreign language education policy are summarized, and thus on the basis of the contemporary language policy make an objective evaluation of the actual lay the foundation for us to further improve our contemporary language policy.The basic idea of this study is, from the perspective of national strategy, looking at our language policy development process, summarizing experience in language policy reform at home and abroad, to sum up the experience and absorb the essence, then giving the policy recommendations for the improvement of the current rationalization of the language policy.
