Design And Practice Of Teaching Chinese Characters Online During The Coronavirus Pandemic

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic,traditional international Chinese teaching classes have not been carried out normally,so most of the classes have been "moved" from offline to online.Compared with the traditional Chinese character classroom,the teaching mode,teaching place and teaching equipment of online Chinese character teaching have changed accordingly.In this case,paying attention to online teaching has become the need of the times.However,we found that the existing traditional teaching methods are not suitable for online teaching in many cases.The characteristics of online teaching are mainly reflected in the flexibility and convenience of teachers and students teaching across time and space through networks and communication equipment.In the process of online teaching,teachers seldom use teaching tools such as blackboards,chalks,and vocabulary cards,while online teaching resources such as courseware and videos have become necessary tools in the classroom.At the same time,online teaching is easily affected by network quality,electronic equipment and the teaching environment.Due to the characteristics of home teaching,teachers cannot demonstrate the writing process of new characters on the blackboard or observe the writing process of students in the online teaching of Chinese characters.The activities that can be carried out are limited,the e-learning resources available are less,and they are easily affected by the external environment.Defects such as interference.Based on these shortcomings,we propose to use various electronic equipment and electronic teaching resources to solve the problem of difficult to show the writing process;use web tools or recorded videos to solve the problem of difficult to observe students’ writing mastery;rational use of teaching resources to solve the comparison of online Chinese character teaching resources Few problems.Starting from the characteristics of online Chinese character teaching,we flexibly use various tools and methods for teaching design,thus opening up new ideas for online teaching.
