This paper mainly studies the many aspects of second language teaching, including the theory of innovation in language teaching. English teaching practice and experience and the inspiration for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. With the development of Chinese economic, the status of Chinese rises, and teaching Chinese as a second language develops with full swing. But obviously teaching Chinese as a second language still in its infancy, not yet ripe in terms of teachers, textbooks, teaching theory, needing to learn the advanced language teaching theory and drawing on English teaching experience to explore new and effective teaching model. First, be clearly aware of language learning is communication, and organize teaching under the guidance of this purpose. Secondly, we must distinguish between "language" and "speech", combining the knowledge of teaching and speech teaching of the language itself, and understand the "language" and "language" differences in teaching practice. Next, to improve teaching methods. Second language teaching appears a long time ago already.with many linguists’exploration and summary the grammar-translation method forms and develops, obtaining obvious practical effects in second language teaching. But with the development of the times this teaching method does not meet the communication needs and there are many drawbacks resulting in the appearation of direct teaching method, cognitive teaching method and so on. Variety of teaching methods has advantages and disadvantages so we should integrate them. Fourth, language and culture are inextricably linked. In the process of language teaching we should train up students’cultural awareness and explain second language cultural knowledge when it’s necessary. Finally, students occupy the dominant position in language learning, we must follow the "student-centered" principle. Students as individuals there are differences, these differences related to intelligence, non-intellectual factors. Teachers should be combined with the individual differences of students to maximize stimulate students’initiative and enthusiasm to learn the language.What’s need to mention is that English teaching in China and around the world is clearly more mature than the other second language teaching and have significant teaching effectiveness. As a newcomer teaching Chinese as a second Language should learn the aspects of English teaching. However, there are many shortcomings in English teaching, we have first hand experience of this, the so-called "Dumb English".We can’t properly communicate with foreigners, which does not meet the ultimate goal of language teaching, that’s what teaching Chinese as a foreign language should avoid to happen.
