Teaching spoken language is the key content in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and also serves as a bridge from knowledge to practice.During the internship in the Advanced Studies Department of Beijing Foreign Studies University,the author found that some students had problems such as lack of coherence in oral expression.They were learning more and using less.In addition,because of COVID-19,the learners were in non-target language areas,and there was no other opportunity to practice oral Chinese except communicating with teachers during class.Due to this,the development of learners’ oral communication ability will be hindered in the long run.Therefore,the author tries to apply the output-oriented teaching method to the teaching of online primary oral classes,with a goal of stimulating learners’ learning enthusiasm,improving the quality and fluency of students’ oral output,and ultimately improving students’ oral segmental expression ability.On the basis of in-depth research on the application of production-oriented approach in primary oral English teaching,this paper selects two primary classes in the Advanced Education Department of Beijing Foreign Studies University as teaching objects.It uses existing teaching materials,the production-oriented approach to teach one class,and then compares the teaching of the other class with traditional teaching methods.Finally,after an in-depth analysis of learners’output content,it is found that the production-oriented approach can not only stimulate learners’enthusiasm to a certain extent,but also improve learners’ opening rate and the quality of learners’oral output products.In general,teaching practices based on the production-oriented approach can promote the primary online oral Chinese class,help teachers solve some online teaching problems,decrease learners’"separation of learning and use" problem,and improve the effectiveness of teaching.
