Most of the previous studies on the word “Chuo” were concentrated on the ontology of the word “Chuo”,and it was rarely combined with the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.This paper takes the design of the Chinese language teaching of the“Chuo” part as the research purpose,and carries out the meaning,usage explanation and cultural interpretation,trying to give the learners a deep understanding of Chinese characters.This paper firstly traces the distribution of the glyphs of the words in Shuo Wen Jie Zi and the words“Chuo”in the New Chinese Proficiency Test Vocabulary Level Outline and Road to Success textbooks.Then,according to the original meaning,the word“Chuo”in the Success to Road comprehensive textbook is divided into four categories:mobile behavior,mobile purpose/result,mobile appearance and road name.Each category is divided into several subcategories.With the help of Shuo Wen Jie Zi and Zi Yuan and other dictionaries,the author analyzes the meaning of the subject.Then,from the perspectives of wedding customs,official positions and time and space,the author studies the related cultures of the“Chuo”,and divides the wedding customs into: expect that please,get married,go to meet in person and marriages to explain the customs and culture in marriage,divide the official position into: appoint and remove(or dismiss),demote and exile to explain into the official culture,and divide the concept of time and space into: the concept of space and the concept of time.Finally,based on the analysis of the Success to Road comprehensive textbooks,questionnaire survey of students from Confucius Institute at Angeles University on the“Chuo”the teaching method of the“Chuo”was explored.The teaching example of the word“Chuo”in Crossing Chapter2.First introduce the meaning of the radical“Chuo”,show the words,pinyin and basic strokes that need to be explained;explain the interpretation,words,sentences,etc.of the words,and select the marriage customs and official positions related to the words to express the“Chuo”Culture;finally,through the practice and communication activities to consolidate the words and cultures learned,the combination of the teaching of Chinese characters and the interpretation of cultural knowledge. |
