A Report On The Translation Of Blockchain For Business: Next-generation Enterprise Artificial Intelligence Systems

This translation practice report,guided by Gideon Toury’s theory of translation norms,demonstrates the feasibility and practicability of this theory in guiding the translation of Blockchain for Business: Next-Generation Enterprise Artificial Intelligence Systems.In this translation report,the Chapter One is the description of the translation task.Three aspects(background,significance,and objective)are included in this chapter to introduce the task.The Chapter Two introduces selected source text,followed by an introduction to the translation process.And then,the translator gives details of Toury’s translation norms.In the Chapter Three,in the case analysis part,the translator discusses the translation difficulties from lexical,syntactic,and textual level with combining the Toury’s translation norms and the source text.Meanwhile,in the process of translation,the translator uses different translation skills and strategies.The Theory of Toury’s translation norms are divided into two levels.The macro level contains preliminary norms and initial norms.Under the macro constraints of the above norms,the translator,guided by the micro level—operational norms,applies the translation strategies of addition,omission and the transformation of voice into the translation process,analysis of long and difficult sentences,so as to further improve the quality of the translation.The translator draws a conclusion in terms of theory and translation practice.According to the research on translation practice,the translator found that Toury’s translation norms have very practical guiding significance for the Chinese translation of Blockchain technology.As the importance of English translation of science and technology has become increasingly prominent,theoretical guidance has some limitations.Translation norms play important role in the exploration of technological English translation.
