| Blockchain technology,is gradually being applied in many fields such as finance,medical treatment and national governance,which will trigger a new round of technological change in the world.In recent years,China’s blockchain has developed rapidly.The number of patent applications has taken the lead in the world.Therefore,the translation of domestic texts related to blockchain technology can provide some references for the foreign applications of blockchain technology.The translation practice text was excerpted from “Chain” to the Future: Blockchain Changes China.From the basic knowledge of blockchain,this book mainly describes the landing and application of blockchain technology in China.The language of the source text is rigorous in logic,professional,standard,as well as interesting.It belongs to popular science text.In translating such texts,the translator needs to pay attention to the scientific and technological information of the original text while keeping the interest as much as possible.In the process of translation,the translator finds some difficulties,which can divide them into the lexical level and syntactic level.The lexical level mainly includes the translation of proper nouns,Chinese allusions and Internet buzzwords.The syntactic level includes the translation of redundant information,parallelism construction and coordinate sentences.In response to these difficulties,guided by Nord’s functionalist approaches,the translator flexibly applies the equifunctional and heterofunctional translation strategies of instrumental translation to solve these difficulties to improve the readability of the translation.The translator expects that this report may provide a reference for the translation and study of related texts and further promote the research and development in the blockchain. |
