Translation Report On Blockchain Technology From The Perspective Of Skopos Theory

With the rapid development of science and technology,blockchain and Internet of Things(Io T)are regarded as two major disruptive technologies.Io T technology,however,has been plagued by some of its technical limitations.In recent years,the research and application of blockchain technology has shown explosive growth.The natural built-in security of blockchain technology can strengthen the security of Io T systems.The original text,Blockchain-Based Security Solutions for Io T Systems,introduces the basic principles and characteristics of blockchain technology,as well as the technology used to solve the problem of Io T security.In this practical report,the author chooses the first to sixth parts of the original text for translation.The main purpose is to provide reference for the translation of blockchain technology.This original text belongs to informative text and has obvious features.At the lexical level,it contains a large number of technical terms on blockchain technology.At the syntactic level,there are a mass of passive sentences and long sentences of sophisticated structure.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the original text,the report chooses Hans Vermeer’s skopos theory as the guiding theory,and briefly introduces the development of the theory at the first.Then,through the analysis of the translation process under the guidance of the skopos theory,the involved translation techniques are discussed in detail,which is intended to prove the practicality and feasibility of the theory on the one hand,and on the other,provide some practical methods to improve translation practice in the related field.
