| With the improvement of medical level and the significant enhancement of national health awareness,the demands of Chinese people for medical health information are also growing with each passing day.The increasing burden of cardiovascular diseases has become a major public health problem in China,so it is of great urgency to prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases.Compared with professional medical books,cardiac news can transmit the health knowledge of cardiac medicine in a more timely way.However,at present,the number of literatures related to the translation of health news is limited.This paper selects some of the most representative health medical news from the America media like The Washington Post and CNN as translation materials.The translation process includes preparation before translation,in translation and revision.The translator analyzes the lexical and syntactic characteristics of the texts in combination with the characteristics of health news through a case study and comparative analysis,so as to help the translator read and translate the health news in The Washington Post and CNN.Firstly,the translator analyzes words translation at the level of the extension,conversion and medical terms.Secondly,the translator considers the sentence translation from the level of simple sentences,passive sentences and long difficult sentences.Thirdly,the translator analyzes the discourse from cohesion and coherence.On the one hand,it is hoped to improve the translation level through this translation practice,lay a solid foundation for translation,and use translation skills more flexibly.On the other hand,it is hoped to benefit more patients suffering from heart disease or readers interested in heart disease news,and provide some reference for translation of such news in the future. |
