Thematic based approach is a teaching method in which teachers organize teaching content around specific themes and learning objectives,expand the selection and supplement related teaching materials,and develop a series of theme activities.The thematic based approach aims to emphasize the authenticity of language,allowing students to create a large number of real language environments to learn languages in practice;emphasizing the subjectivity of students,and cultivating students’ abilities of voluntary learning and active inquiry.With the continuous improvement of teaching requirements,thematic based approach can better mobilize students’ enthusiasm in the classroom and increase classroom participation.In order to meet the needs of Chinese learners’ language organization ability,language expression ability and comprehensive language application ability in real communication situations,under the guidance of thematic based approach,the application research of the intermediate comprehensive course teaching of Bohai University is carried out,with a certain degree of teaching practical significance.Combining the age and learning purpose of international students from Bohai University,compile thematic units of the intermediate comprehensive text of "Developing Chinese",and set five themes of "personal emotion","attitude to life","shopping consumption","social phenomenon" and "life skills".The third lesson of Developing Chinese · Intermediate Comprehensive Ⅰ "My Father’s " War "" is an example of the teaching design of the theme of "personal emotions and affection",and the necessity and feasibility of the use of thematic based approach in the comprehensive classroom of domestic university international students are analyzed.After the practical teaching,it analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the thematic based approach in the intermediate comprehensive courses of Bohai University,and conducts a reflection and summary.Practice has proved that the thematic based approach is an effective comprehensive course teaching method that is conducive to the cultivation of students’ comprehensive skills in listening,speaking,reading,and writing,and has the promotion and application value in domestic and foreign Chinese learning. |
