Teaching Chinese as a foreign language is the focus and difficulty of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and its necessity is increasingly highlighted.The proficiency of Chinese characters affects the improvement of the Chinese reading and writing skills of international students,and is also an important indicator for testing the level of Chinese proficiency of foreign students.However,the difficulty of learning and teaching Chinese characters has been hindering the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language for a long time.Under such troubles,it is of practical significance to discuss how to teach Chinese characters.Since Chinese as a foreign language became an independent subject,scholars have also proposed many teaching methods for Chinese character teaching.The theory of "Liu shu" first revealed the structural laws of Chinese characters,and is also the basic basis for tracing the origin of Chinese characters.This article first analyzes the status quo and existing problems of elementary Chinese character teaching,and then popularizes the "Liu shu" theory.Under its theoretical guidance,the 800 Grade A characters in the "Chinese Character Grade Outline" are organized and summarized into pictographic characters,Refers to the four major types of Chinese characters,interpretive characters,and pictophonetic characters,then analyzes the characteristics of each type of Chinese characters,studies the connection relationship between the sound,form,and meaning of the Chinese characters,and proposes targeted Chinese character teaching methods.Finally,formulates for various types of Chinese characters Corresponding teaching design.
